After the publication of the “Agile Manifesto”, “agile” has become not only a buzzword, but almost a mantra for large and small companies. Especially in software and systems development, the promise of being able to adapt quickly to a changing environment and to work with uncertain requirements is too attractive to ignore, especially if all you need to do is to become a certified SCRUM master and nominate a product owner. Using MES implementations at B. Braun as examples, Michael Kaiser’s presentation takes you on a journey. Our journey starts with a clash of cultures. Mutual assimilation follows, and finally, we will arrive at a state in which we can really focus on the creation of value. Are we now “agile”, or do we just pretend? That will be for the audience to judge.
This presentation was featured at the MES & Industry 4.0 International Summit on September 7-8, 2023 in Porto, Portugal.
