Flowcharts to Fab Lots: Co-Developing Advanced Technology and a Smart Manufacturing Ecosystem

Inventing a new heterogeneous integration technology at Keysight Labs started with innovations in subsystem design, semiconductor fabrication, and system in package assembly techniques. With a new 200mm fab, new state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment, and an accelerated new product introduction roadmap, an entire smart manufacturing ecosystem was imperative.

Enabled by a new and modern MES, Keysight Labs has challenged and transformed a multitude of established business flows, from design validations to supply chain, inventory management, manufacturing, test, and quality assessment, demonstrating unrivaled prototypes in record time.

Developing and deploying a new MES in conjunction with building the new fab, the technology and the processes that require the MES was not trivial. This session will focus on the strategies which made this possible ahead of schedule, and lessons learned from a complex project implemented in concurrence with its dependencies.
