PORTO, Portugal, 9.09.2026 – Critical Manufacturing, the Industrial Operations Platform company, announced that Greenheck Group has selected the Critical Manufacturing MES as part of a major initiative to improve visibility across its factories and support the company’s growing configure-to-order production requirements.
Greenheck Group is a leading manufacturer of air movement and control equipment, supplying products such as fans, dampers, louvers, kitchen ventilation hoods, and energy recovery and make-up air units for commercial applications. The company operates a large manufacturing footprint across the United States, Mexico, and India and required a single MES that could bring consistency to operations at scale.
Greenheck Group wanted to replace a mix of in-house systems, SAP-based tools, and multiple third-party applications that varied from site to site. This created gaps in visibility and made it difficult to track the hundreds or thousands of product variations produced each day. With aggressive delivery guarantees to meet, the company needed a modern MES that would give teams a real-time view of the shop floor and provide the foundation for a more unified approach to manufacturing.
Critical Manufacturing MES was chosen for its strong support for configure-to-order operations and its ability to provide a live view of production. Other key factors included flexible user interfaces, an open architecture, and the ability to integrate with Greenheck Group’s SAP environment, including the handling of variants. The company also valued the solution’s out-of-the-box functionality, which reduces the need for customization and supports the goal of standardizing processes across all sites.
Greenheck Group brought together a strong internal team and carried out a structured evaluation process to identify the right solution. The team defined detailed requirements, issued RFIs, and conducted technical assessments, carefully reviewing each vendor’s ability to execute. In the final phase, they hosted multi-day on-site workshops with three shortlisted suppliers, bringing together teams from across the company to validate the suitability of the solution.

The project began with a pilot implementation at one factory, followed by a phased rollout across eight to nine campuses covering more than thirty facilities. Greenheck Group’s goal for the program is to deploy a Manufacturing Execution System and implement IoT connectivity to support the company’s long-term growth and productivity plans. Additional details about the IoT scope and integration approach will be finalized in the coming months.
