Industry 4.0: Reshaping Human Machine Interfaces
January 18, 2018
Critical Manufacturing and CCG are co-organizing Industry 4.0: Reshaping Human Machine Interfaces event that will take place on 24 January 2018 at CCG Auditorium (Portugal).
Critical Manufacturing will disseminate the results of their HMI project, UX-FAB, which will be complemented by a presentation on recent developments and projects by CCG.
Both companies aim at generating discussion about the future of graphical interfaces, and human-machine interfaces (HMI), in the context of industry 4.0.
INDUSTRY 4.0. RESHAPING HUMAN MACHINE INTERFACES
Date: 24 January 2018
UX-FAB – Universal Experience for Advanced Fabs by Critical Manufacturing
Location: CCG Auditorium, Campus de Azurém nº14, Guimarães
José Pedro Silva, software engineer at Critical Manufacturing:
Our work is very focused on giving users tools to create their interfaces. Industry 4.0 focuses on the consumer, with possibilities of product customization almost to one unit. What we were focusing on in this project was to bring this same concept also to the industrial interfaces, where operators / line managers are able to create their interfaces.
This aspect becomes important on two levels:
1. Users get a better sense of the interface they have in front of them, because they participate in building it;
2. With the need for greater flexibility in industrial processes, it is critical that the assembly time / reconfiguration of an assembly line is shorter.
We are proud to say it was possible to achieve these two objectives, and with results already proven in factories in Portugal, Brazil, Austria and China, we can say today that it does indeed work!
This event is free, to participate please register here.
