Questioning Innovation
Critical Manufacturing’s CEO is the selected interviewee of the month at COTEC

1 Jun 2012
COTEC collects the opinion of one expert every month, in an initiative which started in July 2010. Having innovation as the main topic, the interviews aim to discuss the potential that it brings to the companies, the difficulties in its implementation as well as the success and failure cases within the organizations.
Francisco Almada Lobo, Critical Manufacturing’s CEO, is the selected person of the month, in an interview that can be seen here (Portuguese).
Back in December 2011, COTEC Portugal - Associação Empresarial para a Inovação – had already recognized the high innovation and competence levels of Critical Manufacturing, awarding it as member of the COTEC SME Innovation Network. With an evaluation based on the COTEC Innovation Scoring Index, the company became part of a restricted group of the top Innovation SME's in Portugal.
COTEC was created in April 2003, following an initiative of the President of Portugal with the support of the Prime-Minister and a group of companies established in Portugal, which gross added value represented, in 2002, about 14% of the Portuguese GNP. Since COTEC Portugal began, the President of Portugal has been its General Assembly President. COTEC now has 121 Associates.
