Manufacturing software brought closer to Portuguese businesses

The business community in Portugal gathered on Wednesday, 28 September to explore new possibilities that the Critical Manufacturing MES 5.0 offers to industry, where factories of the future are the main focus.

Although the country's economy is progressively shifting its weight to the services sector, manufacturing retains significant importance in Portugal, employing more than one-third of the labor force. Modern plants, especially in automotive sector, embrace the latest trends in manufacturing technologies - including software - proving to be capable of leading an innovative manufacturing industry worldwide.

The event that was held at Critical Manufacturing headquarters brought together Portuguese industry in a lively and collaborative half-day session. The presentation included a live demonstration of the revolutionary Manufacturing Execution Software that enables the creation of sophisticated graphical user interfaces (GUI) using straightforward drag and drop technology to support manufacturing into the future Industry 4.0 vision.
